Tap Tap Tap, the company behind their third party camera app Camera+ has made their flagship application free. The app grown over the years will be reaching 14 million users and $18 mln sales. This had capitalized on Apple iPhone users demand for their expanded set of photography related features taking advantage of their high quality cameras available with device. Camera+ is available to users as their paid download.
Here changes will be introducing their free version of the app which shall be including majority of functions being offered by paid app. This will be continuing here for those who are keen on instant access to their complete Camera + feature set. This shall be including things like tools to set focus and exposure, digital rooms, front flash, timer, light box, scene modes and effects an editing and sharing features.
The free version will be making their select number of their advanced features available through their in-app buying, advanced editing, manual shooting, Tiff quality.
With unveiling of free app, paid app users will receive their number of smaller improvements though an update and have ability to macro pictures through app today widget. Both apps will soon be supporting new iPhone 6S and 6s Plus for their day they were available.
A number of app believe  that free version of their app will be hampering paid version sales whey will stripped down, Lite version of app as their way to encourage users o upgrade  their full experience. “With the Apple promotion, we definitely were concerned that giving away the full version for free could potentially hurt sales,” explains Casasanta. “We still decided that it would’ve been worth the risk to try it out and when we did, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it actually helped sales as we got a significant spike during the promotion and afterward.”
