As telemarketers get smart and become bolder, we are receiving more and more junk calls on our cell phones. In order to ignore those calls in the future, blocking them on our iPhone becomes a smart thing to do. There are also times when certain friends need to be blocked. Although, if you are thinking of blocking them on your iPhone, you may want to rethink their friend status.
When a number is blocked, you will not be able to receive phone calls, text messages, or FaceTime calls from them. However, this does not prevent you from contacting them in this manner. The blocked caller will not really notice that they are blocked, but they will probably notice that they cannot reach you at all.

Blocking callers is an easy thing to do on your iPhone. With today’s aggressive telemarketers, it has become somewhat necessary.  Voicemails from blocked callers do not send notifications. However, they are available in a Blocked Message folder in Voicemail.
