K33n Jailbreak iOS 9 :

iOS 9 jailbreak was first promised to us by the K33n (Keen) Team. The Keen Team had announced after the showcasing of iOS 9 that they were working on the Keen iOS 9 jailbreakunder the guidance of the Pangu team and would be releasing the jailbreak right after Apple releases iOS 9 for the public.
Team K33n does not have jailbreaks in its name as of now, as it is pretty new to the jailbreak community. However, don’t let this fact fool you, as the team is very well known in the hacking scenario and has won lots of awards for hacking iPhones in the Mobile Pwn2Pwn competitions in 2013 and 2014 consecutively. Coupled with the fact that the Pangu team is working with them, we can expect good, talented work from them.
As of now, a lot of betas have been released for the developers and users to test and this has given the Keen team a good deal of time and opportunity to find out the exploits. The announcement made by the Keen team seemed so confident that we are sure this would be the first team to release an iOS 9 jailbreak. However, the TaiG team, the current leader in the jailbreak scenario can be a tough competition for Team K33n.

TaiG Got iOS 9 Jailbreak Covered :

TaiG was the team which gave us the much-needed iOS 8.3 jailbreak, followed by an iOS 8.4 jailbreak promptly after the release of iOS 8.4 with Apple Music and Beats 1 Radio. We know that the CEO of TaiG had taken to a Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo to express his optimism about the TaiG team releasing the iOS 9 jailbreak.
In his Weibo comment, Xie Lie, TaiG CEO, wrote a note in Chinese which, when translated to English, states that – “See you in iOS 9! Look forward to releasing our 4th jailbreak!”. So it seems by this activity that the TaiG team is straight on the heels of the Keen Team regarding the iOS 9 jailbreak.
Xie Lie also commented on Superphen’s Tech Blog that the TaiG team is very confident about working on iOS’s fourth escape. This clearly points towards TaiG’s intention to come out with the iOS 9 untethered jailbreak. TaiG, however, hasn’t given out any official dates, but it is highly possible that it might defeat the Keen team in the race.

Rootless Technology – Will It Affect iOS 9 Jailbreaking ?

Rumors are that Apple has come up with a new technology in iOS, namely the rootless technology. Many jailbreak experts are of the opinion that jailbreaking iOS 9 may be impossible due to this rootless technology. But we must also not forget that the last five jailbreaks that we got did not use root access for jailbreaking iOS. So more or less, there is almost no hindrance in between and a jailbreak for iOS 9 will surely be released.
Devices Compatible with iOS 9 [Jailbreak] :
After an iOS 9 jailbreak tool gets released to the public, users can expect it to support the following devices –
  • iPhone 6 Plus, 6, 5s, 5c, 5, 4s
  • iPod Touch 5G
  • iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini Retina, and iPad mini.
Backward Compatibility  :
We have noticed that jailbreak tools support a few previous iOS firmware versions. So going by the trend, it will be safe to assume that the iOS 9 jailbreak will also work for iOS 8.3 and 8.4.

iOS 9 Jailbreak from PP and Pangu Team ?

PP Team had been in the news for allegedly stealing TaiG’s exploits to come up with iOS 8.3 and 8.4 jailbreaks. However, it soon proved its mettle by bringing out the Mac-supported version of their tool, which not even TaiG has been able to do till now. We also know that the Pangu team was the first to roll out an iOS 8 jailbreak just after a month of its release. However, neither of the two teams have expressed anything about an iOS 9 jailbreaks. But going by the surprising nature of these teams, we can hope them to be in the race along with the TaiG and Keen team.
