Apple has just launched a new Move to iOS Android app, and we think that Apple is just trying to make the switching process easy for Android users, so they can easily switch and jump from Android to iOS devices.
The Move to iOS app allows Android users to easily transfer their data including media file, messages and contacts from their Android smartphones to an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 9. The app requires Android devices running on version 4.o or above.
By launching the app Apple just don’t want lose those people who have recently purchased and moved to an iOS device. So, by launching the app on Google Play will surely help Apple to boost its efforts.
Apple said “Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content for you.”
The app is free to download on the play store. To move from Android to an iOS device Android user will need to add a 10-digit code by using the app on their Android Smartphone to start transferring data from their Android device to and iOS device.
The Move to iOS app will migrate all your contacts, SMS texts, photos, bookmarks, email-accounts, and calendars among other data. But it won’t migrate your paid apps that you have purchased from Google Play. You will have to purchase those paid app again from the store if you want to use them on your iPhone or iPad devices.
Last week Apple launched its latest iOS devices including the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus, new iPad Pro and a new Apple Pencil a Stylus for iPad Pro.
