If you have tried tracking flight prices ever, you absolutely noticed that airfares change by the time and you can’t know if you are getting the great deal. But, now prices might shoot up. So, buy and they could drop the next day. The stress of air travel starts long before you always set foot in an airport.
Luckily, there is a Hopper. It is a free app which “analyses billions of flight prices a day” to predict changes in the airframe. Therefore, it is the ideal time to buy. It debuted for iOS, but Hopper is available for Android now.
It works as – you indicate your home base, the airport you wish to fly from. So, select a destination. After that, it will generate a summary which lets you know what constitutes a best deal and how much you can save via selecting a flight with stops to a direct flight.
More so, there is a color-coded calendar which reflects airfares from “good deal” to“expensive”. It is a peerless way to see at-a-glance when it is really cheaper to travel. You can press “Choose Dates” to enter a particular date range and Hopper will generate a prediction for you.
It is also how you “watch” a certain trip. The app will inform you when prices drop before they go up. If you wish to see another fare, then run another search for your departure and destination cities also. For any given trip you are viewing, you can click Dates, Prediction or Flights to toggle between the respective screens of details.
Unfortunately, Hopper for Android lacks the tips tab that found in the iOS version and show cheaper departure and dates. Hopper for iOS got and update which lets you to buy tickets directly within the app and without any bounced to an external site. Currently, this option is not available for Android it is coming soon.
